Hello! We are Sara & Matthew, an Austin couple who are excited to share our lives and our love with a new child. We cannot wait to become parents and expand our family through adoption!
Sara grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and taught kindergarten before moving into the tech industry. Sara loves the outdoors, and can’t wait to take our son or daughter on new adventures.
Matthew grew up on a farm and taught high school before becoming an attorney. Matthew is a lifelong musician and is overjoyed at sharing music with our son or daughter.
We met on a blind date, were an instant match, and got married less than two years later. We are long-time Austinites and love everything the city has to offer.

Matthew
When I grew up I wanted to be a fighter pilot.
I am really good at cooking.

I realized I was no longer cool when most of the music I listened to was more than twenty years old.
OUR PET
We have a small Yorkie named Oliver. He is sweet and cuddly and great with kids! He loves to play fetch and thinks that he is a much bigger dog than he actually is.
OUR HOME
We live in a beautiful ranch-style home on a quiet tree-lined street with a greenbelt trail at the end of the block. Our house has plenty of space and a large shaded back yard great for playing and gardening. We are walking distance from the local elementary school and close to nearby parks.
HOBBIES
Sara spends lots of time in our yard gardening and landscaping. She also loves to hike on the trails and in the big park near our home in Austin.
Matthew is the resident cook, and his food is wonderful! He loves to cook Southern food, including mac-n-cheese, banana pudding, and cinnamon rolls. He also makes great Tex Mex, including homemade salsa and tacos.
PARENTING PHILOSOPHY
As former teachers, we plan to raise our child in a home that values learning. We believe in making education real, which includes reading fun books, traveling to new places, meeting new people, pursuing creative activities like music and art, and speaking Spanish outside of a classroom.
TRAVEL
We love to travel and have been all over the United States and to different parts of the world. We value seeing the beauty in people and places that are different than we are, and we can’t wait to travel with our child and show him or her how beautiful different places and people can be!
