We’re so excited to be on this journey to start a family through open adoption. We have deep love, laughter, and happiness in our marriage that we can’t wait to share with a child. Our family and friends are thrilled for us and have been so loving and supportive throughout this process. We have tremendous respect for you and look forward to potentially meeting and forming a lifelong bond with you.

When I grew up I wanted to be a teacher.

Scott
When I grew up I wanted to be a cartoonist.

I realized I was no longer cool when I turned down party invites in college to stay home and watch PBS on Saturday nights (which is so lame it circles back around to being cool.
OUR HOME
We live in a quiet South Austin neighborhood that we absolutely love! Our home is 2200 sq. feet with four bedrooms and a backyard that’s perfect for exploring. We’re only blocks away from parks and a library, so we’ll be walking to lots of fun activities!
HOBBIES
We try to find a balance between indoor and outdoor fun. We love exploring the parks around Austin as much as playing board games with friends. Leanna enjoys reading and crafts. Scott is a big movie-buff and will watch (almost) anything.
PARENTING PHILOSOPHY
Children should be raised with lots of love and positive reinforcement. We want our child to develop a healthy self-image and the confidence to face whatever challenges they encounter in the world. We also want our child to have every opportunity to develop their natural talents and abilities.
OUR EXTENDED FAMILY
We both grew up in East Texas, and our families still live there. We trek back to visit them a few times a year, usually around the holidays. We’re always excited to see our adorable nieces and nephews who can’t wait to meet a new cousin.
HOW WE MET
We met way back in high school, when we both participated in Academic Decathlon (which is sorta like the Olympics for extra nerdy kids). We fell in love over our shared taste in music and films, and have been together ever since!
