Ed & Jordan
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by to check us out! It takes so much bravery and courage on your part to be taking this step, and we hope that you can get to know a little bit about us through these words and pictures. We hope we get a chance to meet and learn about you as well!
Things We Can’t Wait to Do as a Family

Our Home
We bought our home together in 2019, right after Ed moved to Austin from his hometown, Los Angeles. Located in South Austin, just a few minutes from downtown, it is the perfect mix of city life and quiet charm. It’s an older neighborhood with lots of green trees with many young families moving in recently – so we have tons of kids that ride their bikes around and play in their yards. We love going for evening walks when it’s warm outside and on weekends, we take a little stroll to our local bakery for coffee and croissants. Our neighbors are super friendly, and we love seeing everyone on walks with their kids and dogs!

Our Furbaby Linda
We adopted Linda together in 2019 after buying our home in Austin. She is a Mini Dachshund/ Mini Schnauzer mix and is full of energy. She loves to give kisses and is always angling her body to get a belly rub! She’s a princess love-bug who has the funniest personality. When she’s not taking naps in our bed, she loves to watch TV. Neither of us has ever seen a dog so engaged in a TV show – we are convinced that she understands what is going on!

Our Extended Family
Jordan’s mom and dad, and both of his siblings live about half an hour away from us, in Leander. We are so blessed that Jordan’s family lives so close to us! We love going to Jordan’s parents’ home for family dinners, BBQs and summertime pool parties! He has a large extended family with lots of aunts, uncles and cousins – who all live in Texas.
Ed’s family is a little further away, in Maryland and California. His mom and dad live around the corner from his sister and her family in Chevy Chase, Maryland – just outside of Washington DC. His brother and sister-in-law just moved back to Northern California after living in Seoul, Korea for almost 5 years. Even though they are spread out across the country, we try to see them a few times a year. Thank goodness for guest rooms!

Our Parenting Philosphy
For us, parenting is about creating a warm and nurturing environment where our children will feel cherished and supported. We strive to be role models, offering gentle guidance and limitless love as they navigate life. We believe in the power of positive reinforcement and celebrating their unique qualities and achievements. Being a multiracial family, we want to instill pride in self, empathy towards others and respecting all the differences that makes each person special. Our greatest joy will be watching them grow into compassionate, confident people, and we will cherish every moment of this beautiful adventure.

What Adoption Means to Us
For both of us, adoption has truly been the only path to parenthood that we have envisioned. We respect and value the decision that you have made and cherish you having read this far and getting to know a little bit about us. The entire adoption journey will forever be a part of our child’s story, and we want to make sure that they always know where they come from. We want to find a shared level of comfort for everyone on this journey to explore the different ways that families form, bond and build. You can know that we will always provide a loving, warm and open environment for your child.

5 Things About
Ed
I love to cook Korean food! My mom is an amazing cook, and I grew up eating the best Korean food in the world and learning to cook from her!
One of my favorite things in the world is perfume! I love to collect different scents from around the world.
I love to dream big and think up fantastic scenarios! I think I have a very creative mind and I’m always making Jordan and myself laugh with my crazy ideas.
One thing I am SUPER proud of is that I am a REALLY good driver. I think I am super safe and respectful, and I guess it’s because I’m from LA, but I LOVE to drive! (I’m basically Jordan’s chauffeur.)
I love learning and speaking other languages! In addition to my native English – I can also speak German and Korean and speak a little French and Japanese as well!

5 Things About
Jordan
I’m a native Texan and that can only mean one thing – my favorite food is Tex-Mex! I love queso and chips and I have my secret recipe that I always make for family gatherings.
I went to college in Chicago, which means I made it through some very snowy winters! I still love it there though – especially riding the “L.”
I love to go vintage shopping. It’s my way of being environmentally conscious – while uncovering some fashionable treasures along the way!
My guilty pleasures are reality shows on Bravo! I’m a HUGE Housewives fan!
Our neighborhood is perfect for strolls – so I’m always leashing up our dog Linda and taking her for walks. (Except she’s small and can’t keep up, so sometimes I take her home and keep going without her – shhhh don’t tell her!)
