We are a quirky, happy couple in Austin, TX who are excited to share our love with our first child (though hopefully not our last). We have lovingly built a life ready for a tiny person, and we are excited to teach him or her to explore, play, laugh, and be sweet to our three cats. If you choose to make an adoption plan and you think that we might be the right every-day parents for your child, we would be honored to speak with you and get to know you.

WHAT ADOPTION MEANS TO US
Open adoption is our first choice for building a family. We want our children to know where they came from, and for birth parents to have peace of mind that their children are happy, healthy, and loved. We hope that the birth family will be an ongoing presence in our shared child’s life and a member of our family.
HOW WE MET
When we met as college Freshmen, Michael thought that Melissa was hilarious, and Melissa thought that Michael was adorable. We became friends who watched SciFi movies together and played Halo on Michael’s Xbox. A few years later, in 2006 our friendship became a romance and we have been together ever since.
OUR PETS
We share our home and life with our three sweet kitty cats. Roswell is our friendly old lady cat, who loves to take naps in the sun and sit on Melissa. Tipsy is our beautiful, shy princess cat who loves to roll around on the floor. Barney is our silly, energetic kitty boy who loves to play fetch.
OUR HOBBIES
We both love to read and listen to podcasts. We play card games and board games with friends, including the very silly game Munchkin which we love playing with our teenage nephews. We like to kayak in Barton Creek and Melissa enjoys hiking and taking camping trips with the Sierra Club. We both enjoy traveling and going to the theater.
