Our Pets

We have 2 fur babies that are our world! Zoey is a 10 year old yellow lab, and Lexi is a 6 year old Yorkie. Our girls have so many nicknames that at times, we question if they know their real names! Zoey aka Bug, Buggy, Booga, Zoey Bug keeps to herself, is kind of awkward, a little goofy, loves her family and especially her “bubble” aka house. She is the sweetest girl! Lexi Lou aka, Lex, Tootie, Toots, Stinkapotomus is a wild child and rules the roost around here! She may be 6 but still acts like a puppy. She has such a playful personality, loves her family, but especially her Mama! Ben is outnumbered in an all girl house!

OUR HOME

We live in a 4 bedroom, 2 bath house located in a small neighborhood in Richmond, TX. We enjoy doing projects around our house and making it our own. We especially love having our friends and family over for a nice dinner, BBQ or just spending quality time with them. Every year before Christmas, you can find Santa riding around in a firetruck and waving to the kiddos. When we were looking to buy our house, we made sure that we were zoned to excellent schools. The thing we love most about our neighborhood is seeing kids outside playing and just being kids!

OUR HOBBIES

In our free time, we have a common hobby of fishing and love getting out on the boat and spending the day on the water! Ben has many hobbies (Ha!). In his free time, you can usually find him fishing, hunting, playing golf or tinkering with something around the house. The man can’t sit still! Laci likes shopping (what girl doesn’t?!), decorating their house, cooking, spending time with friends and family, crafting and loving on their dogs!

Parenting Philosophy

We want to raise your child to know that we will love them unconditionally for who they are. We want your child to know where they came from and to love and honor their first family. We want your child to know that life is not always easy, but we will always be here to guide them through tough decisions, be their biggest cheerleader and know that we will stand by them no matter the circumstance. We want your child to know that we will always be here to talk to them, even for the hard and not so fun talks. We want to raise a child who knows that they can be whoever they want to be, and we will support them no matter what. We want your child to know that hard work pays off and that they can accomplish anything they put their mind to. Above all, we want to raise your child to know that life cannot be taken too seriously. We want them to have fun, take the adventures, let loose, be goofy and grow into the person they are meant to be!

Our Extended Family

We both come from small immediate families but are extremely close and so full of love! Our family lives within 30 minutes of us, except for Laci’s Dad and Stepmom who live in Austin and our nephew who lives in Las Vegas. We each have 1 sibling. Ben’s brother and wife recently found out they are expecting their first baby, and we are thrilled! We hope to be blessed with a child of our own, so they can grow up together and be best buddies!  We love getting together as much as possible for family time!
