Welcome to Adoption Advocates’ very first blog!

My name is Rory Hall and this is my tenth year working as executive director of Adoption Advocates and I am thrilled to author our opening post!

With the start of a new year as well as moving into a new office, it is only fitting that Adoption Advocates begins afresh with a new blog! I will be sharing my thoughts, viewpoints, and experiences living and working in the adoption world, as not only as the executive director of Adoption Advocates, but also as a caring (and often-stressed) parent of a growing kiddo, a loving daughter of an adoptee, and a woman who is always growing, balancing, and learning from my mistakes along the way.

My hope for this blog is to share with you my personal insights and professional angle on the terrain of adoption culture and connect with you whether you are right here in Austin, on either ends of the country, or across the ocean!

In this blog, there will be many posts for all parts of the adoption triad, whether you are a birth mother, an adoptive parent, or an adoptee.
