Meet Adoption Advocates adoption specialist in El Paso, Edith Delgado! Edith works with expectant parents exploring adoption in West Texas as well as providing adoption support in Spanish to women across Texas.
What do you do in your role?
My role in Adoption Advocates is to serve the Hispanic and Latino expectant birth parents by providing guidance, exploration, and support about the adoption process. I am someone who they can confide in and lean on. I also serve as the middle person when the time comes to meet the adoptive family. I assist and reassure the family through every step.
What would you say is the most rewarding part of your career?
When I learned about Adoption Advocates, I immediately searched up the agency and their team. I really loved reading about each of them. I love the leader they have as she is passionate and genuine about what she does. I was inspired and ready to work with a team and company who carries the same vision and is as ethical as I am.
What can clients expect when they interact with you?
A client should expect a professional and ethical individual when working with me. They should know they will have someone who is willing and available to listen, empathize, care, and passionate about helping them.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
The most rewarding part of my career is when you get to see the “Happy Ending.” When you see a struggling family begin their journey as parents. Being a witness of the love they have been holding for their child is the best part. Being able to be part of their family story and seeing the smiles and happy tears is an amazing feeling.

Do you have any pets?
My family and I love pets. I currently have a total of 5 fur babies (a Great Dane, a German Shepard, a Boxer, a Shih-Tzu mix, and a Yorkie. In addition, we also own a parrot (Sun Conure) that does not talk much, or at all, we still love him.
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
There is no way I could live in this world without music!! I can listen to music every day, even to go to bed. I love all types of music genres and enjoy listening to the radio when I drive.
