Hi! We are excited to meet you and to have this opportunity to introduce ourselves! We have wanted to be parents through this journey for a long time even since before we were married. A huge part of our deep love for each other and our compatibility comes from our shared passions and outlook on life. Our family and friends are extremely important to us, and they have all been so supportive throughout this process. We believe adoption is an enormous act of love and we have so much respect and admiration for you. Thank you for checking out our profile and we hope we get to meet you one day soon!

OUR HOME

We currently live in San Antonio in a cozy little neighborhood right next to the park. We moved here from Houston where we lived for many years. Through a series of events, including Hurricane Harvey, we moved around Houston a bit until we finally found a place to put our roots down and build our forever home in the Texas Hill Country. We found a beautiful spot with hill country views and lots of property for hiking and exploring. It will be extra special too because Laura’s brother-in-law (who is an architect in Brooklyn) is helping design our home.

PETS

Rosco came into our lives when he showed up at the school where Laura worked 5 years ago. Her students agreed that she had to take him home! We fell in love immediately and he’s been a part of our family ever since! He loves traveling with us on all our adventures and is such a sweet, playful soul!

HOBBIES

We love to go on adventures together, whether that be weekend road trips to the Texas coast, camping in west Texas, or exploring other cities. Nathan is an avid fly fisherman and Laura enjoys tagging along as a sidekick on the boat (and fishes sometimes too). On the weekends that don’t involve adventure, we enjoy cooking and grilling, hanging out with friends, going to see live music or just relaxing at home. One of our favorite things to do together is taking our dog Rosco on long walks and to the dog park.

Laura and Nathan, a San Antonio couple looking to adopt a baby, with extended family

Our Extended Family

We originally met in our early teenage years in Victoria, TX. and quickly became friends. Laura spent her high school years out of state and did not move back to Texas for many years…For nearly two decades we lived on opposite sides of the country, each pursing different paths, and as a result lost touch. In April 2010, we were brought back together through a series of random events and perfect timing, all of which led to us bumping into each other in a doorway. While we immediately knew who the other person was, we both simultaneously greeted the other with the wrong name! Nathan asked Laura to dinner and we have been together ever since!

Our Parenting Philosophy

Our hope is for our child to find their own path in life based on their interests, individual potential, and unique personality. They will have our support, love, and guidance every step of the way. We will raise our child to understand the importance of service to others and giving back to the community, and we will teach them to be compassionate and kind.
