Adoptive Parent Support Group

The Adoptive Parent Support Group meets at 7 p.m. on the third Saturday evening of each month to connect and process issues related to adoption.

At the February meeting, AAI will host an open-ended processing group to address the issues currently most relevant to the group. Topics may include managing the wait, what to do when you are matched, hospital etiquette, protecting your child’s story, navigating family relationships, issues in transracial adoption, attachment, sleep, sibling issues, answering children’s questions, etc.

This month’s group is open to AAI families who are: conditionally accepted or currently waiting as well as families who have brought a child home through adoption.
