Prospective adoptive parents Liz and Jeremy

Kelly & Chris

Kelly and Chris have recently welcomed a new child into their home and are no longer available to be matched with. Other families are still waiting though, and you can VIEW THEM HERE. To learn about additional families or to speak with an adoption specialist, please call Adoption Advocates at (512) 477-1122.

Hi! We’re Kelly & Chris and it’s so nice to meet you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us. We sincerely admire your courage and strength as you make this difficult decision. We are holding you in our hearts as you move through this journey. We hope that we might get a chance to learn of the hopes and dreams you have for your child, and we hope you know that we will provide an open, supportive, and nurturing environment for your child full of never-ending unconditional love.

A little about us, we live in Chris’ hometown with our dog Dudley, close to Chris’ family and in a great location for day trips to the mountains, lakes, and the beach (which we love to take advantage of!). We both work from home with flexible schedules – Chris works for a financial company and Kelly for a tech company. We spend a lot of our time out and about for walks and being active, but also enjoy relaxing with a Netflix marathon. We can’t wait to have a kiddo around to join in on all of our adventures! While Chris’ family lives locally & we see them often, Kelly’s family is up and down the East Coast and we spend many long weekends getting together with them, and spend a week in Vermont every summer for an annual family vacation. Our whole family is so excited about a potential adoption and will be actively involved.

Again, we cannot express our gratitude for you taking the time to learn about us. We hope you will see that our friends & family mean the world to us and that we always take time to laugh and enjoy life.

PETS

We have a dog named Dudley who’s 10 years old. He’s our favorite little buddy and we’re so blessed to have him. He’s a black lab / basset hound mix and just the sweetest. He spends most days lounging and looking for cuddles, but loves when we take him for daily walks around the neighborhood.

OUR HOME

We live in a suburban New England neighborhood in a 2-story, open living space, 4 bed 1.5 bath home with an inviting patio and backyard. We’re close to schools, parks, playgrounds, and a short walk into downtown. Our neighborhood is active with tons of families out walking and biking in the evenings, and our town often hosts family weekend events. We love to get out and go running or walking Dudley through the neighborhood and into town on the weekends for coffee.

Hobbies

We love to be active, but also enjoy a good Netflix marathon or movie night in!

Some of our shared hobbies include spending time at the lake, kayaking, hiking, day trips to the city (we love checking out new restaurants & the museums!), attending our niece & nephew’s weekend activities, and going to different New England sporting events. We also enjoy hosting and often have our family and friends over for dinner, game nights, or to hang on the patio.

Chris loves outdoor activities.  He enjoys running at the local lake, hiking, golfing, and traveling to scenic escapes (his favorite vacation ever was to Iceland!).  At the same time, he loves visiting with his family (who only live a short walk away) and relaxing at home with Kelly and Dudley.

Kelly enjoys reading a good book with a cup of coffee, going for walks, and hanging out with family and friends. She also loves getting creative with home decorating and design projects. Outside of day-to-day hobbies, Kelly loves to travel and explore.

HOW WE MET

We met when we were sophomores in college at the University of New Hampshire. We had classes in the same building right after each other and slowly got to know each other passing (flirting with) each other on the commons. After a few months, we finally went on our first date to a local coffee shop, talked for hours, and the rest is history! We’ve been together for over 12 years and married for 7 years. We still enjoy going back to visit UNH to reminisce on our time there and attend hockey games.
