We are seeking to adopt a child at this time because we have always wanted a family that includes children. We feel we have so much to offer a child including, two hard-working and loving parents, a kind and welcoming home, and a great set of caring friends and family to support our new family in our journey.
David & I met through our love of entrepreneurship and social media! We actually met on Twitter, if you can believe that!? Back in 2012, we bonded over our love of music, starting our own companies, having fun at Halloween, and supporting local nonprofits. Chelle founded her salon, Urban Betty, and has been running it for almost 15 years. David spent eight years at the American Cancer Society, co-founded a tech company that helps nonprofits, and now does consulting for large Fortune 500 companies on eCommerce. We both serve on local nonprofit boards and are both Austin Under 40 award winners.

PETS
We have two dogs, Buffy (Yorkie 6lbs) and Skip (lab mix 60lbs). And guess who’s in charge? That’s right tiny Buffy all of 6lbs. She’s 14 and Skip is 12 and they both like to sleep and bark at squirrels. We can’t imagine life without them and all the joy that they bring us.
OUR HOME
We live in University Hills in East Austin. Our modern-farmhouse home was built in 2017. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, and we are working on building a library for all our books. We love that we live near central Austin in an older, established neighborhood. We have a HUGE backyard with plenty of space for dogs and kiddos.
HOBBIES
As consultants and business owners, we love and very much appreciate our downtime. We always make time for our hobbies which include gardening for David (he’s always experimenting with new plants to grow in the Texas heat) and painting and artwork for Chelle.
HOW WE MET
In 2014 David was giving away some DVDs (scary movies) on Twitter. A mutual friend reached out to Chelle because they knew she loved scary movies and she reached out to David via his tweet! Once they met in person, they knew it was something special and went on a first date. It’s been love ever since. All because of Twitter.
OTHER CHILDREN
We don’t have other children. We do have a niece (15) and a nephew (10) that we love like our own. They spend time with us watching movies, shopping, and enjoying the holidays. They are so excited to have a new cousin to love and can’t wait to meet them.
