Adoptive Parent Support Group

The AAI Adoptive Parent Support Group meeting for April has moved to avoid conflicts with Easter weekend.
This month’s topic is “We are matched with an expectant parent, now what?” This group will focus on what happens after you are matched, from the first phone call, to the hospital, to placement. We will discuss the process, legal and ethical issues, and strategies for managing the roller coaster of emotions that often accompanies this time. This group is open to conditionally accepted families, actively waiting families, and families in post-placement who would like to share their experiences with the group.
