OUR PET
We have a fluffy and goofy labradoodle named Brisket. Honestly, he’s a hot mess but he loves kids and people and is always ready to play. He loves pets, cuddles and long walks on the beach. Just kidding about the beach, but he loves walks.
OUR HOME
We have a charming 1950’s house in North Austin. We love our neighborhood because we have really wonderful neighbors and two beautiful parks nearby. There are plenty of fun restaurants and an amazing ice cream shop nearby too…ok, now I’m thinking about ice cream. We have a big backyard with lots of space to run and play. We spend a lot of time around the kitchen cooking and hosting family and friends.
OUR HOBBIES
Jess loves running and yoga and Will tries to keep up. Will loves mountain biking and building things. Together we both love music, stand-up and improv comedy, cooking, hiking, and travel.
HOW WE MET
We randomly met at a Super Bowl party hosted by mutual friends. We ended up talking through the entire game and realized how much we had in common, from running to both having big, close families. We went on a hike for our first date the next week and have been growing and learning together through life ever since!
WHAT ADOPTION MEANS TO US
To us, adoption means a beautiful way to grow our family! We have both always wanted to be parents and provide a loving, safe environment for our future kiddos to learn and grow. We have utmost respect for birth families and open adoptions. We feel the best thing for children is to know they are loved by all of the people in their lives. We’ve been able to keep a very special relationship with Emma’s birth mom and feel so grateful to have her in our lives.
