Postpartum Support International
PSI-TX is the Texas state chapter of Postpartum Support International (PSI), the world’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to helping those suffering from perinatal mood disorders, the most common complication of childbirth. Our mission is to promote awareness, education, prevention, and treatment of perinatal mental health issues affecting mothers, their families, and support systems in all areas of Texas.
Lactation Foundation
The Lactation Foundation is proud to provide a wide range of breastfeeding services. All services at the Lactation Foundation are offered at no cost.
Food Resources
Houston Food Bank
The Houston Food Bank distributes food and other essentials to those in need through a network of more than 1,800 community partners. In addition, we also provide programs and services aimed at helping families achieve long-term stability including nutrition education, job training, health management, and help in securing state-funded assistance.
Family Hope
Family Hope is the largest non-profit agency that exclusively serves northern Fort Bend County’s residents with medical assistance, food, rent and utility assistance, job searches, furniture and disaster relief.
West Houston Assistance Ministry
WHAM’s Food Pantry provides a significant supply of groceries for families to prepare nutritional meals, as well as daypacks of non-perishable foods (and perishable food for those with access to storage) to homeless clients. Our Clients can receive fresh produce, bread and pastries, meat, dairy products, and canned goods.
Parenting Classes & Baby Supplies
The Diaper Foundation
The Diaper Foundation offers emergency diaper assistance for children in low-income households. If your financial situation is making it difficult to purchase diapers for your child, and you currently receive Medicaid benefits, we may be able to help.
L.I.F.E. Houston
L.I.F.E. Houston’s Food for Babies program provides free emergency formula assistance. We can also provide baby cereal and jarred baby foods when these items are in stock.
Pregnancy Assistance Center North
At PACN, we offer needed material items, like diapers, formula, clothes, and more, to support you through your pregnancy and up to your first 36 months of parenting. Through our learning programs, moms and/or dads are also able to earn larger items like high chairs, car seats, cribs, and more.

Star of Hope
We are a Christ-centered community supporting Houston’s homeless men, women and children. We encourage positive life changes through programs in spiritual growth, education, employment, life management and substance abuse recovery.
Sarah’s House
At Sarah’s House, our mission is to provide emergency shelter, meals, clothing and basic necessities for homeless women and their children.
Keturah’s Haven
Keturah’s Haven was established to break the chain of generational poverty and hopelessness by providing women in crisis pregnancies a loving, structured environment as well as the necessary resources and support for them and their children to become productive, well-balanced and contributing citizens.

We are Houston’s leading non-profit provider of prevention, education, and outpatient treatment services for alcoholism, addiction, and co-occurring mental health disorders. We have helped thousands recover while, at the same time, healing their families. We turn no one away.
The Women’s Home
Each of our treatment program tracks are designed to support homeless women who have a substance abuse addiction or who have a substance abuse addiction and mental illness. During the program period, our goal is for each woman to achieve mental/emotional stability and sobriety. At The Women’s Home, we do not charge clients to join our program.

Houston Area Women’s Center
The Houston Area Women’s Center serves thousands of women, children and families each year escaping domestic violence, sexual assault or sex trafficking. We help survivors transform their lives, free from violence.
Mercy House
MercyHouse Organization helps individuals affected by domestic violence and sexual assault in their efforts to move forward with their lives. We provide shelter, counseling and advocacy to support them in building lives free from the effects of violence.
AVDA
AVDA is a nonprofit organization that has served the Houston community for 40 years with the mission to end family violence by advocating for the safety and self-determination of victims, promoting accountability for abusers and fostering a community response to abuse. AVDA is dedicated to providing multilingual, transformational, life saving services to survivors of abuse and their families.
