Megan & Thomas
The love we have for each other is beyond measure and we are so excited to share that abundant love with a son or daughter. One reason we make such a great team is because we have complementing strengths, and we look forward to bringing them all to bear as parents. We will dedicate ourselves to giving our child all of the encouragement, love, and support we have to offer.
Who We Are
More About Megan
When I was growing up I wanted to be a red head.
I am really good at according to Thomas, anything I put my mind to.
I’m terrible at also according to Thomas, directions.
My favorite quote is:
“Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the tress and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.” ~ Max Ehrmann
I realized I was no longer cool when I can’t remember a time when I was ever cool.
More About Thomas
When I was growing up I wanted to be a pilot.
I am really good at fixing things.
I am terrible at loading the dishwasher.
My favorite quote is:
“If at first you don’t succeed, get a bigger hammer.” ~ Thomas’ Uncle Jim
I realized I was no longer cool when Megan told me.

More About Our Life
Hobbies
The thing we love doing most together is traveling. We feel that visiting places outside of Austin and the United States can be a great way to show our child that the place where s/he lives and the people in it are just a small part of a vast and diverse planet.
Parenting Philosophy
We have traveled all over the world and have seen that there are many ways to raise a happy, healthy, and capable child. One of the things that all children need is unconditional love. We will dedicate ourselves to providing a loving, nurturing, and supportive home for the child we adopt into our family.
Our Extended Family
Megan’s parents live in Houston and she has two younger siblings, one of whom lives in Austin, both of whom can’t wait to have a niece or a nephew. Thomas’ mother lives in Colorado, along with his sister, her husband, and their three children who are excited about having a new cousin.
How We Met
We met while we were both living and working in the Washington, DC area. Since the moment we met, our love for each other has grown stronger with time. We each have siblings, are close to our own families, and want to pass the abiding love we have for each other and our families onto our children.
What Adoption Means to Us
We will make a life-long commitment to holding a space of honor for you in our lives. We aim to raise a child who grows to be confident and comfortable with his or her origins and place among biological and non-biological relatives.
