Ready to Adopt

Nikki & Tom

Hi, we’re Nikki and Tom. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family. We hope you are able to get a glimpse into our lives and how much love and support we can offer as parents.

We live in Texas with our two dogs. We met 12 years ago and we’re more in love than ever. We’ve settled into our lives and careers and now we are hoping to expand our family through adoption. We can’t wait to pour all of our time into our growing family.

We’re deeply committed to open adoption because we want our child to have as many people who love them in their life as possible. We hope to build a relationship with our child’s birth parents and extended family through texts, stories, photos, video chats, and in person visits.

We know you are working through a difficult decision right now. We wish we could give you a hug and tell you that, no matter what you decide, you will make the right decision for both of you. If you choose adoption and you choose us, we promise to join you on this journey hand in hand.

Things We Can’t Wait to Do as a Family

How We Met

We met 12 years ago on the first day of law school and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We love reading the paper together over a cup of coffee, laughing about our day, and making dinner together. There’s nothing better than curling up at the end of the day with our dogs and watching a bad TV show. We are more in love now than we’ve ever been. We both know how lucky we are to have found each other and we can’t wait to begin the next adventure together – raising a family.

Our Pets

We have two dogs, Gator and Russell, who can’t wait to cuddle! Gator is a true couch potato. He’s always ready to snuggle (but he will wake up for snacks…so relatable!). Russell is our social butterfly. She loves playing fetch and meeting new friends.

Our Home

We live in a cozy neighborhood. It’s quiet, safe, and surrounded by nature trails, which is perfect for our daily family walks. We love watching the baby ducks paddle in the creek and seeing the baby deer graze. Our home is full of charm and love. We have many cozy spots to curl up with a book, a backyard that’s just waiting for a playscape, and plenty of room for playing make believe. Our neighborhood has a fantastic school and a big playground. We are part of a wonderful community of friends nearby with lots of young kids to play with.

Parenting Philosophy

Our nieces say we’re like the parents from Bluey and we consider this the highest compliment. We love to read bedtime stories, play games on the floor, and turn our living room into a giant fort.

We promise to really know your child and support their interests. We promise that your child will become the person they are supposed to be. We’re here every step of the way without judgement and with a hug. Above all, we promise a life filled with kindness, laughter, and unconditional love.

What Adoption Means to Us

We want your child to know their roots and feel loved from all directions. We’ll share their birth story, culture, and traditions, weaving them into our life so they always feel connected to where they come from.

We’re happy to share as many pictures and stories as you’d like. We hope for shared meetings and fun experiences – the more love, the better! We promise that you’ll always be a part of our family and that your child will know how much you love them.
